Helen Frindle is the pen name of Kathy Evans
To distinguish between fact and fiction, having already published two books ( see reference below*) I chose my great aunt Helen and grandmother, surname, Frindle as my pen name. I wanted to remember them as they are two women whom I remember with love and kindness.
I came to France in 2005 and experienced a complete change of circumstances whereby art and creative activities had to take second place.
The current novel evolved from my interest in the history of the local region and profound interest in the nature of existence and alternative theories of evolution. The Sentient Shield was written as a way of formulating my ideas.
The Sentient Shield is a work of fiction brought together from highly speculative sources, most of which have been challenged by the scientific community since the 1950s.
The storyline concerns a journey by Maddy, the central character, towards an event called the Alignment: a specific time in the evolution of earth’s history where earth plays a pivotal part in the overall evolution of the universe. At the point of Alignment, earth and the universe of which it is a part is enabled to ascend to a higher spiritual dimension. A great deal depends on earth and, importantly, the spiritual awareness of its population at that time as to whether ascension can be achieved.

Pour distinguer entre réalité et fiction, ayant déjà publié deux livres (voir référence ci-dessous*), j'ai choisi ma grand-tante Helen et ma grand-mère, nom de famille, Frindle comme nom de plume. Je voulais me souvenir d'elles car ce sont deux femmes dont je me souviens avec amour et gentillesse.

Le roman actuel a évolué à partir de mon intérêt pour l'histoire de la région locale et d'un intérêt profond pour la nature de l'existence et les théories alternatives de l'évolution. The Sentient Shield a été écrit comme un moyen de formuler mes idées.
The Sentient Shield est une œuvre de fiction issue de sources hautement spéculatives, dont la plupart ont été contestées par la communauté scientifique depuis les années 1950. Le scénario concerne un voyage de Maddy, le personnage central, vers un événement appelé l'Alignement : un moment précis de l'évolution de l'histoire de la Terre où la Terre joue un rôle central dans l'évolution globale de l'univers. Au point d'Alignement, la terre et l'univers dont elle fait partie peuvent s'élever vers une dimension spirituelle supérieure. Beaucoup dépend de la terre et, surtout, de la conscience spirituelle de sa population à ce moment-là quant à savoir si l'ascension peut être réalisée.
